The tristate community is invited to enjoy a day offering art and historical exhibits, and opportunities to meet area artists as well as Revolutionary War and Civil War period re-enactors.

Happenings:

  • Art Show, “Spring Awakening”
    • Local artists showing works will fill the west end of the park. The show is in honor of PJCA founder Dorothea Solomon and artist Matilda Grech.
    • Orange Square-Veterans’ Memorial Park, Broome-Pike-Sussex St.
  • Local Historical Memorabilia Exhibit
    • This exhibit will be curated by local tristate historical societies of Deerpark NY, Matamoras-Westfall PA, Montague NJ, Neversink NY, and Port Jervis NY. Here you can learn about and celebrate our area’s rich history.
    • Drew United Methodist Church fellowship hall, Sussex St.
  • Revolutionary War & Civil War Encampments
    • You will be able to walk through the encampments and talk with Revolutionary War and Civil War soldiers; they can tell you what their lives were like.
      • A favorite group will return: Lee’s Battery Virginia Light Artillery.
      • General George Washington & President Lincoln will wander through the square in the afternoon. They look forward to chatting with you and posing for pictures. Be on the lookout for General Ulysses S. Grant & the Silver Beam-Wet Plate Photographer
